ATTENDANCE POLICY:
1. These are your five responsibilities.
a. If you are a student
taking my classes on campus, please sign the
attendance roster at the beginning of each class. Attendance is a good
indicator of success or potential difficulty according to most previous
students.
b. On campus students and distant learning students
should check announcements, email, discussion
board, and the daily class outlines available on the 15-Module Calendar for the
latest changing information. Weather, emergencies, and conference
interruptions can and do result in changes to normal day-to-day activities.
c. Please use email and discussion board to
establish study partners for yourself. Every PHCC student is
expected to seek out and to discover the necessary resources for he or she to be
successful.
d. If your course allows you to become part of a team, please treat others as
you wish to be treated. Keep other team members regularly informed of
your goals, accomplishments, and concerns.
e. Learn to use your BlackBoard account to
correspond with your instructor and your fellow classmates using BlackBoard
email and BlackBoard Discussion Group found under the blue tab labeled
"Communication"
on your BlackBoard course homepage.
(Instructors are told not to respond to personal email messages sent from AOL,
Ntelos, Earthlink, Juno, and all other non-BlackBoard sources, in order to
reduce the risk of receiving and sending viruses.)
