Suppose we have the following distribution of (25) scores on a test:
(each score is separated by a period)
5.3.2.6.6.7.8.6.3.8.4.5.7.9.7.6.10.8.9.6.4.5.7.4.5
Without graphing the scores in any manner, describe what the distribution of scores would look like and provide a rationale for your answer.

Answer:
Arranging these 25 scores in order we would find that they read as follows:
2.3.3.4.4.4.5.5.5.5.6.6.6.6.6.7.7.7.7.8.8.8.9.9.10
The outliers 2 and 10 are one each in frequency;
inside the outliers are a pair of 3s and 9s;
inside these are a trio of 4s and 8s;
inside these are a foursome of 5s and 7s;
inside of these lie five 6s.
Therefore this distribution is symmetrical and bell-shaped.
It's mean, median, and mode will all be 6.
