General Guidelines for Job Interviewers |
||||||||||||||||
| Use six people, three of whom will be interviewers, and
three of whom will be interviewees. 1. Form small groups to act as
an interviewing committee. 3. Each committee member should select 1 or 2 different questions to ask of each applicant. 4. Keep notes about the interviewees. 7. Use your committee and notes to discuss and determine the best qualified candidate. 8. Announce the winner of the job position. |

3rd Use one-half of the class period and
respond as a job interviewee.
|
|
||||||||||||
| 1. Select a job advertisement and give it to your
interviewing team. (In a large company, you may find yourself being
interviewed for that position, or for another opening for which you may be
qualified.) 2. Visit the table where applicants are being interviewed. 3. If it is not yet your turn to be interviewed, wait patiently, but listen and observe. 4. Make notes about the judgments that are probably being made by the interviewers and by the interviewees. 5. When it is your turn, do your best to respond to the questions asked of you in such a way as to get the job position for yourself.
