Complete these three
Instructions before you begin
the first Module of Instruction
(or attend your first in-class meeting).

1.  (A)  Begin by purchasing your textbook and study guide.
Look over the Syllabus b
efore the first module of instruction (or the first class meeting).   Click on the link called
Syllabus
 

  (B)  Give your first attention to the Getting Started and Need to Know links.

  (C)  Examine the remaining Nice to Know and For Your Information links in the syllabus before beginning Module 2 (or before attending the second in-class meeting).

  (D)  Send your instructor the Affadavit  ("I am ready to begin" statement).

2.    (A) Practice opening BlackBoard6 using  http://bb.vccs.edu, then log-in to Principles of Economics  I (Macroeconomics) to make sure you have access to the copy of the course stored on PHCC's BlackBoard server. 

(B) Practice the backup method of entering  the course using http://www.ph.vccs.edu/eco and then choosing Principles of Economics I.
                 

(C)  Check the announcements page on BlackBoard each day.
 Become familiar with using:
             the 15-Module Calendar,
             the Syllabus, and the
             Assignments. 
 Make certain to contact your classmates frequently using BlackBoard's email system and its Discussion Board.

(Note:  To prevent the spread of computer viruses, the instructors do not respond to personal email addresses sent from your home or place of work.  You MUST use the BlackBoard email system to remain in contact with your instructor.)

3. (A)  Open the 15-Module Calendar.  Notice how each module is similar to the others.  Each module has links to course objectives, slides, and to daily class outlines called Part One and Part Two.

       (B)  Within the 15-Module Calendar examine the link called:
 Introduction (for first-time distant-learners).
