How many per chapter:

Each assigned chapter in Essential Foundations of Economics begins with two, three, four, or five learning objectives.  The sequence of instruction in each chapter is arranged to help you master these learning objectives.

The behaviors necessary to master learning objectives:

Each corresponding chapter in the Study Guide also begins with two, three, four, or five learning objectives.  Each learning objective in the Study Guide is followed by bulleted statements that tell you the behaviors or skills necessary to demonstrate mastery of each learning objective.

Self-evaluation of your abilities to master the learning objectives:

Each learning objective in the Study Guide is followed by two practice problems and a self-test.
    - The first practice problem is the same practice problem covered in the textbook, but is accompanied by a more extensive answer than the abbreviated answer provided in the text.
    - The second practice problem is a new and original one not previously mentioned in the text.  The answer to the second practice problem is also provided in the Study Guide.
    - Self-tests are provided in the Study Guide for each learning objective.  Self-tests are divided into true-false, multiple choice, fill-in the blank, graph-the-graph, and numeric and short answer questions.  Answers to all of the self-tests are also provided in the Study Guide, including graphs.

Instructor evaluation of your abilities to master the learning objectives:

Exam #1, Exam #2, and Exam #3 consist of questions like those in your text and study guide.  Each question is preceded by the learning objective you were asked to master.  In addition to the practice you obtain from reading the text and completing your study guide, you can enhance your ability to do well on exams by taking the quizzes offered online at MyEconLab.com.  Online quizzes are provided for each chapter and include immediate grading, with page references to the text and study guide for those answers you provided that were incorrect.  You must follow the registration procedures provided with your text to use MyEconLab.com.
