Syllabus

Schedule

    *    Publisher's homepage for COMP2220 text,
            "The Visual Basic Coach" by Jeff Salvage (pub., Addison Wesly):
              http://www.aw.com/catalog/academic/product/1,4096,0201745496,00.html
          (Note: The CD-ROM that accompanies this text contains Microsoft Visual Basic 6
           Working Edition (same as standard version but without online help or documentation)
           and VB project files that cover most of the author’s examples and code.)

    *     Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) Library
            This may be the quickest route to the documentation that you need but Microsoft
            is more restrictive than they were in the past for their non-subscription viewers.
            In the left-side explorer tree pane, expand (click ‘+’) the “Visual Tools and Languages”
            topic, then “Visual Studio 6.0”, then “VB 6.0”, then “Product Documentation”.
            See also Microsoft’s “Visual Basic on the Web” link.

    *     The Visual Basic Compendium
          Great starting point to search for VB resources, docs, tutorials, downloads, etc.

    *     VB-World
           A useful link for VB developers to keep current and find answers (About.com search engine)

    *    COMP2220 description in RCTC course catalog
