142E: Punctuation Application

As you may have noticed posted on the Human Resources bulletin board, our company contributes to many charitable organizations. Our charitable activities include the following: tutoring at East Woods Middle School, delivering lunchtime meals for senior citizens, and hosting the local blood drive. All employees are encouraged to participate--employees may take up to four business hours per month for such activities.

In addition to tutoring, delivering meals, and working at the blood drive, our company is now beginning a new volunteer project: sponsoring a booth at the State Book Fair. The book fair's profits are used to support library projects throughout the state: therefore, you can think of volunteering at the company booth as a way to bring books to thousands of children in need.

A brief meeting about the book fair will be held at noon on Wednesday, October 5. The meeting will discuss volunteer opportunities, and Stewart di Capo, book fair director, will give a short talk about the book fair's history. For more information about the book fair, call Bev Roberts at extension 401. Lunch will be served, and we look forward to seeing you there.
