Classroom Policies

Class attendance is recommended. Documentation indicates that students who attend regularly achieve higher grades than those who miss classes do. It is especially important that students attend class for 2 reasons:

- To explore interactions with other people

- Because class activities can not be replicated outside of class.

You are expected to be in class on time. To help stay on schedule and to be an active participant in class, you are also expected to read the assigned material from your textbook and hand-outs about certain topics.

Class participation is required. Participation means that students will be active, spontaneous and willing in the oral and written assignments in class. It is expected that you demonstrate a mature, courteous and positive attitude.

Remember that a positive attitude always helps!
