Library Instruction Room / Large Group Study Area
Goddard Library has an enclosed room on the 2nd floor that can accommodate up to 25 people for library instruction or for student group study. Reservation of this room is only available to official University Center Rochester (UCR)-sponsored groups that have made and confirmed their reservations with the appropriate Goddard Library faculty/staff.
- Equipment in the room: There are 5 tables, 25 chairs, 1 very small white board, and a projection screen. The person or group who reserves the room is responsible for contacting the appropriate departments (Media Services, IT, etc.) for any and all of their media and computer networking needs for their session.
- Person(s) who reserve the room are also responsible for returning any media/computer equipment that they borrowed.
- Person(s) who reserve the room are also responsible for returning the room to its prior condition including cleaning the white board and collecting any generated trash.
- There is a 2-hour limit for each group per day unless other arrangements are made.
- Reservation requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the day and time that the room is needed. You will receive an e-mail or a telephone call confirming your reservation of the room availability.
- Library instruction takes precedence over all other activities.
- Regular, weekly meetings of non-library classes/organizations will not be permitted, due to the irregular nature of library instruction appointments.
- A single instructor/organization may reserve the room for a maximum of 1 class period per course per semester.
- A weekly schedule of upcoming classes will be posted both on the doors of the room, and on the Library's website in the Library Instruction section.
- Reservations can be made during the academic year by contacting a librarian at: 285-7233.
