The Library Instruction program, a division of Goddard Library,
supports the vision and curriculum of Goddard Library,
MnSCU and the University Center Rochester (UCR).
The goals of this program include:
- Preparing students to become lifelong learners including the abilty to locate, evaluate and use information ethically and effectively.
- Promote awareness of library resources and services among groups and individual patrons of the UCR partnerships.
- Assess the instructional methods and content in order to meet the changing needs of library patrons.
- Use both the standards and guidelines developed by the Association of College and Research Libraries and the Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education as guidance for the instruction program.
