English

English as a Second Language
The UCR Learning
Center provides English Language Learners with the
opportunity to develop their writing and language
skills in a one-on-one setting. When English Language
Learners bring assignments to the Learning Center,
an English Language specialist or peer coach will
review important writing and grammar points and
will make suggestions for improvement. We will not
correct or edit assignments, but we will make every
effort to help you understand and make progress
in the writing process.
The websites linked on this page can help solve
problems specific to EAP/ESL learners. Some sites
provide grammar exercises and help with common trouble
spots for EAP/ ESL students (such as proper use
of articles and prepositions).
For assistance with EAP/ESL issues or if you have
questions, please contact RCTC's EAP/ESL instructor,
Abby Pinsky. You may email her at abby.pinsky@roch.edu
