Anti-Virus Software
Anti-virus software is available to RCTC staff and faculty for home use on Windows computers. The CDs can be checked out from the administrative secretaries (LeAnn, Jenny, Roxy, Judy K, etc.) or via the Computer Helpdesk. The current version is McAfee VirusScan 7, however we are preparing McAfee VirusScan 8 for home use. When the software is installed, it is configured to update once a week from the same anti-virus repository server we have set up to have the campus computers update from. The time interval for how often the software looks for virus definition updates can be configured to occur more frequently if desired.
