You may set up POP3 in a different e-mail account so you can receive mb.rctc.edu outlook.com messages in a different inbox (ie: gmail, yahoo, etc.) Keep in mind some web email services do not offer POP3 functionality unless you upgrade to a paid account. Gmail currently offers free POP3 functionality. Some free email services don't offer POP access to their users, so please contact the customer service department of your other webmail provider to determine if POP access is available in your non-Google email account.
Try this (in gmail) for POP3 functionality*:
Email address: userid@mb.rctc.edu (where userid is YOUR id)
User name: userid@mb.rctc.edu (where userid is YOUR id)
POP server: outlook.com
Port: 995
Make sure the box is ticked that says “Always use SSL”
*Please note, if you are using an external email account and are inquiring about configuring it to use POP3, it will be assumed you have the technical knowledge to know where in that account to enter the settings, and the steps required to do so. There are way too many e-mail services out there to write instructions for each one. Please do not expect RCTC's helpdesk staff to know the details of every e-mail system out there.
NOTE: If you are unable to, or simply don't want to set up POP3, you can also set up a redirect rule in your mb.rctc.edu account to redirect or forward messages to a non-RCTC account inbox.
