3. Now, which organizational pattern would work best for you? Here are some worksheets which will serve as GUIDELINES (remember, you can adapt these to meet your own persuasive strategies). Look at each link and write below which pattern you will use.

  • If your audience is reluctant, refutative works well. This is also suggested for the audience where everyone seems to know the opposition's side but not yours. You can still use the other organizational patterns, but be careful to adapt well to where they are at now.
  • If your audience is neutral, then spend time focusing upon "informing them" and "personalizing the message!" The organization you choose is open...pick one:
  • If your audience is supportive, show them how to become involved!
  • If your audience is ready for action (even a small act!), the best organizational pattern is the
