Interested
in engineering? You
can begin your engineering bachelor's degree at RCTC, then transfer and
complete the degree at a university. This site has information to help you do
that.

General tips for
engineering students
Some of the courses you
will take at RCTC depend upon the specific area of engineering you are
interested in and the university to which you intend to transfer.
Take the calculus and
physics courses as early as possible. In general, build your schedule around
the technical courses and then work in the general courses.
Once you know which
discipline of engineering (mechanical, electrical, etc.) you intend to
specialize in, you can take the courses needed for that area. If you know the
university to which you intend to transfer, you can select exactly the courses
needed at that university. For the

General education
courses
There are two choices for
the engineering transfer student. One is to do the Minnesota Transfer
Curriculum (MNTC). The other is to take the specific general education courses
required by the university to which you intend to transfer. Click General Education to see a discussion of these two
possibilities.
