Drawing I
This is a class in the practice of drawing. Students will be introduced
to concepts and methods involved in learning to draw from observation
and imagination. They will be introduced to line, value, the representation
of light, structure, spatial organization and composition. Drawing as
personal exploration and expression will be emphasized.
Drawing II
This is a second class in the practice of drawing. It is expected that
students will have been introduced to concepts and methods involved in
learning to draw from observation and imagination. They will continue
to work with assigned problems related to line, value, the representation
of light, structure, spatial organization and composition. Drawing as
personal exploration and expression will be emphasized. Because it is
assumed they will have begun to develop personal goals, interests, and
preferences, they will be expected to work from a greater degree of personal
motivation and at an accelerated pace.
