Communicating From Anywhere!
Today you will participate in class discussion...from anywhere!

Overview:
During class time, on the date assigned in class, you will participate in the online classroom discussion from our WebCT Discussion Room ( http://rctc.ims.mnscu.edu/webct/public/home.pl ).

Procedure:
We will begin in the discussion room under the corresponding date. You will need to identify yourself for credit! During this time we will discuss the topic. I would like to remind you not to "monopolize" the conversation, yet to participate in it equally. During the class hour, we will then move to the "chat area" unless the site will not allow all of us access to it (we will then return to the discussion board). At the end of the class discussion, you will be asked to post the following question:

What are the benefits of online communication? Which works better, the instant chat area or the delayed discussion board system, why?

What is your opinion of online education? Explain.
