Storytelling

Many "storytelling groups" are developing throughout our country. Visit this website to see an example http://sunsite.queensu.ca/memorypalace/garden/dance01/storytelling.html Developing a story can be difficult. There are many different ways to do so.

1. To start it off easy, try to find a story:

2. Try to familiarize yourself with the story. Make it your own somehow...revise, rework, refashion!

3. Tell it to us! Use animated vocal variety, gestures, movement! Maybe you might want to be slow and somber! In any case tell it to us.

We will talk in class about how to create stories in other ways too. My favorite way is to find an object that means a lot to me.
