RCTC Fitness Center Rules

  1. You must be a CURRENT RCTC/WSU or U of M student, staff or faculty member on the Rochester campus.
  2. You must possess a current valid RCTC I.D. card each and every time you use the Fitness Center (It must be the same card used when taking the quiz. If you lose your ID and get a new one, you must see the Fitness Center Director to update your records or watch the video again and re-take the quiz with your new ID card)**. *Unless you are in a scheduled P.E. class or are involved in an organized athletic team lift supervised by a coach!
  3. I.D. card must be given to and scanned by fitness center associate (OLD ID?s will not work!).
  4. You must take your I.D. with you when you leave. DO NOT leave it in I.D. card box.
  5. ONLY clean dry Athletic (tennis) shoes will be allowed in the Fitness Center (No sandals, boots, hard soled shoes, socks, etc.).
  6. Only athletic apparel can be worn in the fitness center (No jeans, cut-offs, cargo pants or any pant with metal zippers!) This includes classes!
  7. No book bags, coats or clothing of any kind will be allowed on the floor in the Fitness Center (You must bring them to a locker and bring your own lock).
  8. You must put away all weights (free weights, dumbbells and racks) when finished.
  9. You must wipe down all cardio machines, selectorized machines and free weight benches when finished.
  10. All clothing must be worn in an acceptable manner. (i.e. no vulgar wording on T-shirts, shorts must be pulled up to your waist.)
  11. Fighting or abusive language will not be tolerated! This will lead to immediate suspension for up to a semester if not permanently from the Fitness Center.
If these rules are not followed, you will be dealt with in the following manner:
  1. First offense: You will be asked to leave for the rest of the day.
  2. Second offense: Your fitness center privileges will be revoked for one week.
  3. Third offense: Your fitness center privileges will be revoked for one month.
  4. Fourth offense: Your fitness center privileges will be revoked for one semester with

These rules will be enforced for all who use the Fitness Center!

Remember, the Fitness Center is a PRIVILEGE not a RIGHT!
